For more than two years, KSJD’s Daniel Rayzel woke up the Four Corners as the community radio station’s Morning Edition host. But his time of sharing news and information with listeners each weekday is coming to an end.
In the coming weeks, Rayzel will be moving to Atlanta with fond memories of his time spent living in the Four Corners.
“When I was searching for work out of college, finding a job in public media and in the Southwest were both high priorities for me,” Rayzel said. “It’s hard to imagine a place better than KSJD to get my start.”
Among missing fresh green chile and hiking in the desert, Rayzel says he will also miss being part of a community radio station with the support he found at KSJD.
KSJD News will go through some temporary changes in the weeks after Rayzel’s departure to accommodate the hiring of and transition for his successor. The search for KSJD’s News Director has already begun and application details can be found here.
Rayzel’s final hosting shift will be on Friday, Dec. 18 from 7 to 9 a.m.
