Deb Haaland is the recently-confirmed Secretary of the Interior and the first Native American cabinet official. She’s only been in office for a few weeks, but she’s already facing pressure to reverse former President Trump’s 2017 decision to shrink Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments. This week, Secretary Haaland is on the ground in Utah, accompanied by a delegation of elected officials, to visit the monuments and meet with stakeholders firsthand. KSJD’s Lucas Brady Woods reports.
