Clouds will build throughout the day resulting in some isolated afternoon showers. Temperatures will reach 71 degrees in Dolores, 81 in Dennehotso, and 76 in Cortez. Warm temperatures and afternoon showers will be likely over the next few days as it warms through Monday.

Visitor service hours have changed for the Columbine Ranger District in Bayfield and the Forest Headquarters in Durango. The Bayfield office will be open Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the Durango office will be open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday during the same hours. Allergens remain in the medium range and will increase slightly over the weekend. Mulberry, oak and ash pollen are the most prevalent.

Colorado River experts are providing a roadmap for solving the region’s water crisis. Alex Hager reports, they’re nudging policymakers who are stuck at an impasse about sharing the river’s water.

Arizona lawmakers have unanimously passed “Emily’s Law,” creating a turquoise alert system for missing Indigenous people, named after 14-year-old Emily Pike, a San Carlos Apache girl who was found dead earlier this year. The bill now heads to Governor Katie Hobbs for approval.

A 77-year-old tourist from Germany has died after falling on a hike at Arches National Park in Utah. Rudolf Peters was hiking a rugged section of the Windows Loop trail when he fell on Tuesday. Despite attempts to resuscitate him, Peters was pronounced dead at the scene. The National Park Service and local authorities are investigating.

Delta County has filed a complaint with Colorado's Public Utilities Commission over issues with its 9-1-1 system, affecting nearly 300 calls from June 2024 to March 2025. The problems have since been resolved, but the county awaits CenturyLink's response.
