During October, Mesa Verde National Park Rangers will give four tours of Yucca House National Monument. Meeting at The Colorado Welcome Center in Cortez, attendees will carpool to the site.

Yucca House is a large, unexcavated Ancestral Puebloan site that has remained largely untouched for the past 800 years.

The easy to moderate 2-hour, 1/2 mile walk is along a mostly level, unpaved path. The trail is rocky in places so attendees are asked wear sturdy hiking shoes or boots.

Four tours will be offered on Sunday, October 5; Sunday, October 12; Saturday, October 18; and Sunday, October 19. All are from 9:00am to 12:00pm.
