The Sunflower Theatre will host a Singer/Songwriter Showcase on Thursday, October 30th at 7:00pm.
This special evening brings together singer-songwriters from across the region. Some will be performing their very first original songs whilst others will be sharing new works from years of creative exploration.

The Sunflower Theatre will screen the documentary, "Anxiety Club" on Saturday, November 1st at 7:00pm.
Directed by Wendy Lobel, Anxiety Club takes viewers behind the curtain of stand-up comedy to explore anxiety not as a punchline but as lived experience.
The film interweaves stand-up performances, sketch videos, intimate interviews and therapy sessions to follow a cohort of comedians.

The Sunflower Troupe is thrilled to present "Silent Sky" a beautifully written play by Lauren Gunderson taking place in the early 1900s about the life of astronomer Henrietta Leavitt whose achievements changed the way we understand the universe.

Board, dice, and card game sessions take place at Bitterblossom Games on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Bring your own games or play the ones available on site.
Every Wednesday, from 4:00 to 5:30pm , Cortez Public Library will be hosting an after-school program for kids age 9 to 18.
Featuring homework help, snacks, Lego challenges, and various creative activities, the program is open to drop-ins.
The Over The Hill Gang Cortez Car Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the United Methodist Church, located at Empire and Park Streets. Meet and greet begins at 6pm, followed by the meeting at 7pm. Anyone with a love for cars is welcome! For details, call 970-560-1891.
ZU Gallery in Cortez will host the Akiba Alliance, a new gathering space for fans of Japanese animation and culture, on Wednesday, October 29th at 6 p.m. The event, led by Maya LaMunyon, invites adults 18 and older to connect through fun icebreakers, games, and shared enthusiasm for anime. Four Corners Food Not Bombs will provide an opportunity for mutual aid at the pink warehouse at 30 N. Beech Street in Cortez on Sundays from noon to 1:30pm. Everyone is invited, but not required, to bring a vegetarian or vegan dish to share. Needed items include tents, sleeping bags, hygiene supplies, and socks.
