Stretch and Strength is an exercise class is for people with Parkinson's Disease and their care givers. It is held weekly on a Tuesday at 11 am at The Heart and Core Yoga Studio at 720 East Main Street, Cortez.

The Pinon Project will host The Incredible Years Advanced Parenting Class every Tuesday from 1:00 - 3:00pm.
This class is for parents and caregivers of children aged from 2 to 10 years. Participants will learn interpersonal skills, anger management and problem solving.

Cortez Public Library will feature a presentation by writer, Dan Chiras, on Tuesday, May 6th from 4:00 - 6:00pm.

In this talk, he will take a humorous look at the most common gaffes and blunders in the English language and how to correct them.

Cortez Integrated Healthcare hosts a peer-led addiction recovery support group every Tuesday at 5:00 PM. Participants will learn practical recovery tools in a supportive, non-12-step environment.

As part of the Ute Mountain Mesa Verde Birding Festival, Cortez Cultural Center will host a live raptor presentation on Wednesday, May 7th, at 5:30pm.
Participants will learn about raptors including what they eat, identification tips, and how we can help conserve these incredible predators in the wild.

The Pinon Project will host a 12 week course called the Incredible Years Parenting Program starting Thursday, May 8th at 5:30pm.
Participants will learn parenting skills. Dinner and childcare are provided.
