The Mancos Meditation Group meets every Thursday at 6:00pm at the One Heart House, located at 733 Grand Avenue in Mancos. More information is on the Mancos Meditation Group Facebook page.

Mancos Conservation District will host a Mancos Watershed Tour on Friday, October 9th from 8:00am.

This all day experience will tour the upper and lower reaches of the watershed and participants will learn about water quality, restoration, infrastructure and management whilst guided by local experts, and a Ute Mountain Ute Water Quality Specialist.

Cortez Public Library will host Mesa Verde Park Rangers on Friday, October 9th from 1:00pm.

With the help of the rangers, kids will be able to learn about nocturnal animals and participate in educational games.

Every Sunday afternoon starting at 2:30pm, The Odd Cat Bookstore in Dolores will host a writing group.

This casual event will typically feature a writing prompt followed by twenty minutes of writing and then a sharing session. Some afternoons will feature a local writer.

Mesa Verde Lavender Farm will host Kaleigh Campbell of Fox Willow Fold beginning Monday, October 12th from 6:00pm for a four part dive into bark tanning techniques, transforming raw hides into a finished sheepskin.

Cortez Makerspace will host a workshop on Tuesday, October 13th from 10:30am where participants will learn to use a laser engraver to make their own custom nameplate.

Cortez Public Library will host the TCG Club every Tuesday from 4:15pm where kids eight and older can enjoy playing and trading cards like Pokemon and Magic the Gathering.

Cortez Integrated Healthcare hosts a peer-led addiction recovery support group every Tuesday at 5:00 PM. Participants will learn practical recovery tools in a supportive, non-12-step environment.

Indigenous Wellbriety will host a Talking Circle twice weekly at Cortez Cultural Center.

Tuesday meetings begin at 6:00pm and Thursday meetings begin at 1:00pm. All are welcome.

Cortez Makerspace will offer a lesson on how to make beeswax candles on Wednesday, October 14th at 10:30am.
