The Sunflower Theatre will host the International Packraft Film Festival on Thursday, June 19th at 7:00pm.The festival highlights adventure stories and films showing the sport’s vast potential in nature exploration and the passion behind it - from whitewater gnar and river travel, multi-day remote wilderness routes, bike-rafting trips, fishing & hunting expeditions to family floats on a lazy Sunday. Cortez Public Library will host local author, Steven Law, on Tuesday, June 17th at 5:00pm.Steve is an award-winning traveling writer, poet, and storyteller, and he will be presenting his book, "Gone: Encounters with Awe, Wonder & Reverence." Snacks and beverages will be provided.
Mark Stevens will be at the Dolores Public Library on Tuesday, June 17th at 6:00pm to discuss his new book, "No Lie Lasts Forever". Refreshments will be provided.

Cortez Public Library and Pueblo Community College will host a 3D printing workshop for kids aged 10 to 18 on Wednesday, June 18th from 10:30am to 12:00pm.
The Cortez Public Library will host a presentation about fireflies by Christy Bills, an entomologist from the Salt Lake City National History Museum, on Wednesday, June 18th, from 5:00 to 6:00pm.
Later that evening, Christy will lead a personal tour at the Carpenter Natural Area to show you these incredible creatures in person.
Cortez Public Library will host a session on every third Thursday at 3:00pm entitled "Life Affirming Discussions". This will enable attendees to explore positivity and self-care through affirmations, mindful eating, healthy tips, and related topics.

The Cortez Public Library is looking for hobbyists and crafters who are interested in donating their time to teach a two-hour craft class to the community.

Teen Gaming Hours is being hosted by Cortez Public Library on Wednesday, June 25th from 4:00 to 5:30pm. This will include a Nintendo Switch set up with game options including Mario Kart, Mario Party, Super Smash Bros Ultimate and more. There will also be card and board games. Attendees are welcome to bring their own games. Snacks will be provided.This event intended for teens and tweens.

Mancos Library will will sponsor an evening with Anna Taft, founding director of the Tandana Foundation, on Thursday, June 26th at 6:30pm.Anna will talk about her work and share bits of her newly released book. The seeds for the foundation were planted in 1998, when Anna spent four months in the rural community of Panecillo, Ecuador, teaching English to local elementary students.
