Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center are seeking indigenous artists, makers, performers, and demonstrators to apply for the 2026 Four Corners Indigenous Art Market which will take place on Saturday, June 27th.

Artists working in a wide range of fine, traditional, and contemporary indigenous art forms are encouraged to apply, including but not limited to pottery, jewelry, carving, textiles, painting, sculpture, music, dance, lectures, and demonstrations.

The Cortez City Council meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at City Hall on Roger Smith Ave. starting at 7pm.

Hospice of Montezuma is offering a weekly men’s discussion group on Fridays from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

The group is open to men who want a supportive space to talk about what’s been on their minds and hear different perspectives. For more information, call Derek Streeter at 970-565-4400.

Cortez Makerspace will host a lure making workshop on Saturday, February 28th at noon.

Participants will learn the basics of tying and crafting their own custom lures while connecting with other fishing and outdoor enthusiasts.

Cortez Cultural will host a traditional Chinese tea service with Chris Burkett on Saturday, February 28th at 2:00pm.

Attendees will get to taste two different Chinese teas paired with nibbles.

Live storytelling from the Raven Narratives returns to The Durango Arts Center with a story slam on Saturday, February 28th at 7:00pm.

Audience members are invited to speak on the them of "luck".

Four Corners Food Not Bombs is a mutual aid group where neighbors help neighbors, and everyone is welcome. They meet Sundays from noon to 1:30 at the Good Sam’s Warehouse in Cortez for a hot, homemade vegan and vegetarian potluck, plus an exchange of books and clothes. Come give what you can, and take what you need.

Durango Arts Center will host "The Ballad" on Sunday, March 1st from 7:00pm.

The Ballad is singer/songwriter Rachel Garlin’s newest piece for the stage and features original songs and intimate storytelling as Garlin explores what happens when queer desire collides with 1940s conventions in the lives of characters Madelyne and Therese.

This show is a benefit for the Armida Huerta Adventure Fund that is dedicated to increasing access to outdoor adventures for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC individuals.

The Disabled American Veterans Outreach Center offers rides for Veterans to medical appointments and is looking for volunteer drivers to join the team. Vehicles and gas are provided for these trips.
