In association with School Community Youth Collaborative, The Sunflower Theatre will host two special screenings of The Polar Express on Saturday, December 13th at 10:30am and 2:30pm.
Telling the story of a doubting young boy who takes a train ride to the North Pole, this film embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.

Grace’s Kitchen is accepting donations and sign-ups for its annual Community Thanksgiving Take-Out Meal.

Donations of large turkeys, fruit pies, green beans, and funds are appreciated.
The Cortez City Council meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at City Hall on Roger Smith Ave. starting at 7pm.

Hospice of Montezuma will facilitate a weekly meeting for men each Friday from 2:00 - 3:30pm.
This group is for men who might benefit from sharing things that have been weighing on their minds. Seeing things from a new perspective is often very helpful. Mental health matters!

The first-ever Musicians Market is coming to ZU (zoo) Gallery, Cortez on Saturday, November 29th from noon to 6:00pm.
Attendees can buy, sell, or trade guitars, keyboards, drums, orchestral instruments, audio equipment, and more as well as try instruments before purchase.

The 5th Annual Mancos Art Market will take place in downtown Mancos on Sunday, November 30th from 10:00am until 3:00pm.
Celebrating local creativity, the day will feature artisan booths, food trucks, beverages, and live music.

Four Corners Food Not Bombs will provide an opportunity for mutual aid at the pink warehouse at 30 N. Beech Street in Cortez on Sundays from noon to 1:30pm. Everyone is invited, but not required, to bring a vegetarian or vegan dish to share. Needed items include tents, sleeping bags, hygiene supplies, and socks.
As part of the Mancos Art Market, Bradley Hoessle and Danny Quinlan from Afrobeatniks will play a house concert at Bomdiggity in downtown Mancos at noon on Sunday, November 30th.

The Montelores Coalition will host a meeting on Tuesday, December 2nd at Rico Town Hall at 6:00pm.
This is for residents, business owners, tribal members, agricultural producers, and outdoor enthusiasts to share feedback on the Montelores Outdoor Recreation and Conservation Plan.
This plan outlines strategies to balance the region’s growing recreation opportunities with the protection of natural, cultural, and agricultural resources. The meetings will include a presentation of the draft plan, interactive discussion stations, and opportunities to provide input on proposed goals and strategies.
