In celebration of the Annual Ute Mountain Mesa Verde Birding Festival, Cortez Cultural Center will host an art exhibition titled, "Winged Horizons".
Running until Saturday, May 30th, the artwork will feature this year's honored bird, the green-tailed towhee, which can usually be found around Mesa Verde National Park.
Hospice of Montezuma is offering a weekly men’s discussion group on Fridays from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Four Corners Food Not Bombs is a mutual aid group where neighbors help neighbors, and everyone is welcome. They meet Sundays from noon to 1:30 at the Good Sam’s Warehouse in Cortez for a hot, homemade vegan and vegetarian potluck, plus an exchange of books and clothes. Come give what you can, and take what you need.

The Disabled American Veterans Outreach Center offers rides for Veterans to medical appointments and is looking for volunteer drivers to join the team. Vehicles and gas are provided for these trips.

For those looking to age well and stay independent, CSU Extension Montezuma will be hosting an Aging Mastery Program at Cortez Senior Center.
This ten class series is designed to empower older adults to make impactful changes that improve health, confidence, and overall well-being. Starting May 11th, classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 to 2:00pm.

The Cortez City Council meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at City Hall on Roger Smith Ave. starting at 7pm.
The Lamppost Creative Learning Center in Cortez will host a a Story Share event on Tuesday, May 12th at 7:00pm.
Share Story Cortez will be an evening of storytelling, visual art, creative writing, and live improvisational theatre to honor four Montezuma County residents.

On Wednesday, May 13th at 5:00ppm, Cortez Public Library will host an author talk with award-winning local author Mark Stevens.
Mark will talk about his latest book, "Two Truths And A Lie" - the haunting follow-up to "No Lie Lasts Forever".

Dolores River Brewery hosts Trivia Night every Wednesday from 6.00 to 8:00pm.
Teams of one to six people are welcome to test their knowledge among fellow trivia lovers.
