The Sunflower Theatre and Anita Burleson, International Vocal Coach and Playwright, will host a kids Improv Summer Camp from Monday, July 21st to Friday, July 25th from 9:00am to noon.
Not only is improv fun, it can teach your child how to think on their feet, be creative, spontaneous and be empowered when faced with challenges.

Every 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month, The Sunflower Theatre will host Improv Comedy Jams. Beginning at 6:00pm, these classes are intended to suit total beginners and those of an intermediate level.Instructed by the Sunflower Theatre's Director, Sarah Syverson, participants will learn new improv skills and find their authentic comedic selves.Further information is available at sunflowertheatre.org

The Sunflower Troupe will present the 2025 Sunflower Shorts Play Festival on the weekend of August the 1st to the 3rd at The Sunflower Theatre.
Featuring six short plays by local and regional playwrights and performed by local actors and directors, the show is sponsored by the LOR foundation.
Audience members will be asked to vote for the "People's Choice" award and the winner will be announced on KSJD and social media.

Four Corners Food Not Bombs will provide an opportunity for mutual aid at the pink warehouse at 30 N. Beech Street in Cortez on Sundays from noon to 1:30pm. Everyone is invited, but not required, to bring a vegetarian or vegan dish to share. Needed items include tents, sleeping bags, hygiene supplies, and socks.

Hospice of Montezuma will facilitate a weekly meeting for men each Friday from 2:00 - 3:30pm.
This group is for men who might benefit from sharing things that have been weighing on their minds. Seeing things from a new perspective is often very helpful. Mental health matters!
