Community Calendar

The First United Methodist Church will host sessions for caregivers every third Tuesday of the month at 4.00pm. These meeting are intended to provide support from other caregivers that are also on the journey of caring for a loved one. Topics discussed will include strategies for self-care, understanding and working with brain change and forms of dementia, dealing with the grief of change, and supporting your health and well-being.

A new Toastmasters club is forming in Cortez in collaboration with the Montezuma Leadership Network.
Meetings will be held at the Cortez Chamber of Commerce on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 5:30 to 6:30pm. All are welcome!

Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, The Sunflower Theatre will host Improv Comedy Jams. Beginning at 6:00pm, these classes are intended to suit total beginners and those of an intermediate level.
Instructed by the Sunflower Theatre's Director, Sarah Syverson, participants will learn new improv skills and find their authentic comedic selves.
