Getting youth involved in local organizations helps them to become valued and essential members of our communities. KSJD's Tom Yoder talks with Meggie Curtis, Youth Programming Coordinator at the School Community Youth Collaborative, and Jasmine Stroud, a senior at Lighthouse Christian Academy and a member of the Cortez Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Board, about new ways that local businesses and organizations can connect with young people to help them build healthy relationships within their communities and prepare them for life as adults.
