The Four Corners Power Plant on the Navajo Nation in northern New Mexico was evacuated Thursday because of a chemical fire.

The Farmington Daily-Times reportsthe blaze erupted around 11 a.m. inside decommissioned equipment as crews were dismantling a tower used to purify water. Because there was the potential for toxic fumes, all non-essential personnel were evacuated. The Daily-Times reports no one was injured and the fire, of unknown cause, was put out in about two hours.
