Christmas Tree Permits Available From Local Public Lands Agencies

In other news, public lands agencies are allowing people to harvest Christmas trees as the holiday season begins. The U.S. Forest Service says permits to cut trees from the San Juan National Forest are available at various locations throughout the region. The Bureau of Land Management is also issuing permits to cut pinyon or juniper trees in designated areas. Officials encourage people to bring safety gear and emergency supplies, and to be ready to drive in the snow.
