The Dolores County School District Board voted unanimously Monday during a five-minute meeting to appoint its high-school principal, Ty Gray, as interim superintendent. He replaces Bruce Hankins, who recently resigned. At a meeting April 4th , citizens presented the board with a petition with about 200 signatures urging them to seek both internal and external candidates for superintendent. But the Dove Creek Press reports the board indicated it won’t do an external search.
