Bridge Emergency Shelter Looks For Temporary Home

The Bridge Emergency Shelter in Cortez has not yet found a temporary home, but there is a possible new home for the day-labor center that operates out of the facility. The Bridge has until mid-May to move out of its current location in the old Justice Building in the city’s Centennial Park so the building can be prepared for use by the Children’s Kiva Montessori School. Last week, Eleanor Kuhl told the Cortez City Council that the First United Methodist Church, located on Park Street near the police station, is willing to serve as a temporary home for the day-labor operation.
