Casting Your Primary Day Ballot

Austin Cope

Montezuma County residents have until 7 p.m. Tuesday to drop off primary day ballots that were mailed to them earlier this month. Ballots sent to the county clerk's office must arrive by Tuesday; those received at a later date will not be counted, even if postmarked by Tuesday.

Located at 140 W. Main St. in Cortez, the office will be distributing ballots until 7 p.m. in addition to accepting ballots at their 24/7 outdoor drop-off box.

Not registered to vote? As long as you have resided in Colorado for at least 22 days (and meet standard requirements) you can register and vote until 7 p.m. on both primary day and Election Day.

View sample ballots and further information on your voting rights at Montezuma County's election webpage.
