Good morning!
I’m Lacy McKay.
Let’s take a look at the weather for the next few days…
We’re sticking with a hot and stormy pattern across the Four Corners region this week.
Afternoon temperatures will remain 5 to 10 degrees above normal, and while skies may start clear, isolated thunderstorms are expected again today—especially along the San Juans and the Continental Divide.
These storms may bring gusty outflow winds and dry lightning, which could shift wildfire smoke into new areas.
Tuesday will look much the same, with increasing moisture bringing better chances for wetting rain by midweek.
Some relief from the heat may arrive later in the week as a Pacific trough moves in, but for now, expect continued above-average temperatures, scattered high-elevation storms, and elevated—but localized—fire weather concerns.
That’s the KSJD Outdoor Report for today.
Stay safe out there.
