Red Flag Warnings Issued Across the Four Corners

Ways To Subscribe

Expect more hot, dry, and windy weather across the Four Corners this week, with Red Flag Warnings in effect today and Wednesday, and a Fire Weather Watch already in place for Thursday.

Temperatures will stay above normal across the region, with gusts reaching up to 35 miles an hour this afternoon, helping drive continued fire weather concerns.

Humidity remains extremely low, with almost no moisture near the surface — though some high-level moisture may drift in later today, bringing a small chance of isolated dry thunderstorms, especially near the southern mountains.

These storms are more likely to spark new fires than provide any meaningful rainfall.

Smoke from ongoing wildfires will continue to affect air quality, particularly in northwest Colorado and areas downwind.

Looking ahead, the hot, dry, and windy pattern is expected to continue through at least Friday, with elevated fire danger remaining the top concern. Outdoor burning continues to be banned throughout the four corners.
