Every Wednesday, from 4:00 to 5:30pm , Cortez Public Library will be hosting an after-school program for kids age 9 to 18.
Featuring homework help, snacks, Lego challenges, and various creative activities, the program is open to drop-ins.
The Over The Hill Gang Cortez Car Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the United Methodist Church, located at Empire and Park Streets. Meet and greet begins at 6pm, followed by the meeting at 7pm. Anyone with a love for cars is welcome! For details, call 970-560-1891.
Four Corners Writers will host a workshop every third Wednesday at the Zu Gallery from 6:00 to 7:30pm.This is open to all writers regardless of genre or experience level and will allow attendees to learn more about the craft and business of writing.

Every Thursday at 5:30pm The Pinon Project hosts Alphabet Soup. This a program for parents and caretakers of children with special needs or challenging behaviors.Dinner and childcare are provided. Further information is available at pinonproject.org
CREA and The City of Cortez will present Third Thursdays in Montezuma Park, Cortez, every Third Thursday of the month. This annual outdoor market will feature vendors, live music, dancing, food & drink, giveaways and community fun!
A new Toastmasters club is forming in Cortez in collaboration with the Montezuma Leadership Network. Meetings will be held at the Cortez Chamber of Commerce on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 5:30 to 6:30pm. All are welcome!

Every third Friday of the month, Cortez Public Library will host, "Coffee and Crafts" from 10:am to 12:00pm.This will feature paint sets, drawing tools and a sewing machine. Coffee and tea will be provided but you need to bring your own mug.
The Cortez Public Library is looking for hobbyists and crafters who are interested in donating their time to teach a two-hour craft class to the community.

Hospice of Montezuma will facilitate a weekly meeting for men each Friday from 2:00 - 3:30pm.
This group is for men who might benefit from sharing things that have been weighing on their minds. Seeing things from a new perspective is often very helpful. Mental health matters!
