A cold front approaching from the West will mean strong winds and high fire danger in lower elevations of west-central and Southwest Colorado on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a red-flag warning for critical fire-weather conditions Tuesday afternoon and evening. Fire crews in Montezuma County have already had to extinguish one wildland blaze – a small fire late Friday afternoon in the Boggy Draw area near Dolores. Apparently sparked by a campfire, it was extinguished before it could reach an acre in size.
