Kevin Wade Folsom Charged with First Degree Murder After Haycamp Mesa Shooting

A charge of first-degree murder has been filed against a Montezuma County man accused of killing a 42-year-old member of the Southern Ute Tribe. The Cortez Journal reports that numerous other charges were also filed against Kevin Wade Folsom in district court Thursday. Folsom is suspected of shooting James Box Jr. on January 3rd or 4th on Haycamp Mesa east of Dolores. He remains in jail on a $500,000 bond.
