Stormy Weather Returns to the Four Corners This Week

Ways To Subscribe

Showers and thunderstorms are expected again this afternoon across the Four Corners region. The atmosphere remains moist, increasing the potential for moderate to heavy rain and isolated hail. Areas to the north and west—including parts of Utah and northwest Colorado—will see drier, calmer conditions as new air moves in.

Temperatures today will hover near or just below average, with a continued cool trend expected into the weekend. Another weather disturbance is forecast to arrive Wednesday, bringing more widespread storms and cooler-than-normal highs through the end of the week.

The moon is currently in its waxing gibbous phase and will be about 54% full as it rises just before 1:45 PM. Sunset tonight is at 8:31 PM, with sunrise tomorrow at 5:54 AM.

Expect a warm-up and possibly drier skies heading into the weekend. Until then, be prepared for fast-changing conditions, and keep an eye out for those stronger downpours.

That’s your KSJD Outdoor Report for today. Stay safe out there.

LP recently moved to the Four Corners from Austin, Texas, where they worked as a Case Manager for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and in HOA property management where they were fortunate to learn many different styles of communication and creative thinking/problem solving. In their time away from work, they watch a ton of movies (spanning all decades, nationalities, and genres), and tries to listen to one really good album every day.
