Mountain snow continues across the region today, especially in the San Juans and up through the Grand Mesa, Flat Tops, and northern mountains. Winter Weather Advisories are still in effect, and if you’re traveling over the higher passes, plan for slick roads and reduced visibility. Snow levels may dip as low as seven-thousand feet this morning, with one to two more inches possible in the central and southern mountains, and four to eight inches expected in the northern ranges before this system winds down.
Valleys across the Four Corners are seeing rain showers and cooler temperatures today — about ten to fifteen degrees lower than yesterday, bringing us back to more seasonable November highs. They’ll peak early and stay chilly through the rest of the day.
By this evening, the storm system shifts northeast and we get a brief break as a ridge moves in overhead. But the unsettled pattern isn’t done: another system approaches late Tuesday into Wednesday with another chance of light rain and snow, followed by yet another round Thursday into Friday. The details are still uncertain, but expect clouds, cooler temps, and periodic mountain snow through the end of the work week.
