If you’re heading outside today, expect a mix of spring conditions, with light showers moving through southwest Colorado and southeast Utah this morning and a chance for scattered afternoon storms, especially north of I-70. You may also hear a rumble of thunder and see some gusty winds as those cells build.
Looking ahead, Tuesday is shaping up to be the most active day this week. A stronger system moving in will bring more widespread rain in the valleys and snow above about 9,000 feet, with the potential for moderate to heavy bursts along the Divide. If your plans take you toward higher elevations or east toward the Front Range, be prepared for slick travel, especially over passes like Vail and Rabbit Ears into Wednesday.
Closer to home in the Four Corners, expect unsettled conditions to stick around through midweek, with cooler temperatures before things warm back up later in the week.
That’s the KSJD Outdoor Report for today.
Stay safe out there.
