Boggy Draw Trail Report for May 2: Spring Conditions and Events

Ways To Subscribe

Welcome to the weekend, hikers and mountain bikers! Based on the latest forecast, today is your best chance for outdoor adventures as chances for rain increase from Saturday to Sunday. Recently, trails like Boggy, Maverick Shoosh, and Black Goat were in great condition for hiking and biking, and Bear Creek had some muddy spots with a tree down. Keep an eye on the weather, and you may get a good ride in. The Forest Service has completed controlled burns in the area, so trails are unaffected. Also, remember that the 12 Hours of Mesa Verde race is just around the corner, so if you're not racing, consider volunteering. The Mancos Trail Group fundraiser at Mancos Brewing this Saturday is another great way to get involved. Check out the High Desert DeVos MoCo Thursday mountain bike rides and Four Corners Mountain Biking Facebook pages for more event details and trail updates.

Grateful to Janet, Roadie Doug and Jonathan for allowing me to join them as one of the subatomic Electrons that make up the Eclectic Hour that bring a diverse mix of music to listeners, though I would love to join Chris in the Morning on KBEAR in beautiful Cicely, Alaska.
