Afternoon Storms Bring Rain, Wind, and Rising Fire Danger in the Four Corners

Ways To Subscribe

Good morning!

I’m Lacy McKay.

Here’s the KSJD outdoor report

Afternoon thunderstorms continue across the region this week, especially over the mountains, where storms may bring light rain, gusty outflow winds, and even some small hail.

Most lower elevations will stay drier, but breezy conditions are still likely.

A warmer, drier airmass will start moving in midweek, limiting storm chances by Thursday and into the weekend.

Highs today and tomorrow will stay close to normal—around the mid-80s in the valleys—with increased sunshine later in the week.

Fire danger will rise in desert areas as humidity drops and temperatures climb.

Dry thunderstorms are a growing concern heading into the weekend, so stay alert and fire-wise.

That’s the KSJD Outdoor Report for today.

See you tomorrow for Water Wednesday.
