Colorado has launched a new online resource highlighting the lifeline of the West: the Colorado River. At the Colorado Water Congress in Steamboat Springs Tuesday, Governor Jared Polis announced the debut of ColoradoRiver.com, calling it the official hub for information on the river that sustains more than 40 million people, 30 Tribal Nations, and a $1.4 trillion economy across seven states and Mexico.
The site, developed by the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, features interactive maps, real-time reservoir and snowpack data, policy updates, and educational content about the river’s history and challenges. State officials say the goal is to connect people with the facts and foster a sustainable water future shaped by supply, not demand.
Visitors can explore the new site at ColoradoRiver.com, and follow @CORiverHeadwaters on Instagram for updates.
Closer to home, we’re still seeing widespread drought conditions in the 4 Corners, with some rain hopefully rolling through this weekend.
