Stormy Pattern Brings Cooler Weather to the Four Corners

Ways To Subscribe

We’ll see another round of afternoon showers and thunderstorms today, mainly over the higher terrain along and north of the I-70 corridor. Most of these storms will be brief and fast-moving, but a few could still bring heavy rain before tapering off by evening. High temperatures will stay near normal to just a few degrees above average.

Tomorrow brings more cloud cover and moisture into the region, with widely scattered storms developing by the afternoon and some drifting into the valleys. The real change comes later this week: by Thursday and Friday, a stronger system moves through, bringing widespread showers, thunderstorms, and cooler weather—temperatures could run five to ten degrees below normal by Friday.

Looking ahead to the weekend, things start to dry out, but that fall-like system will keep highs on the cooler side.
