First Day of Fall Brings Storms, Cooler Temps Across the Four Corners

Ways To Subscribe

Showers and a few rumbles of thunder are lingering this morning, with storm coverage expected to increase by this afternoon and evening.

Some of these storms could bring gusty winds, pockets of heavy rain, and even small hail.

Rain will continue overnight into Tuesday morning, and at the highest elevations above 12,000 feet, a little light snow isn’t out of the question on this first day of fall.

Temperatures will be near normal today before dropping below average tomorrow, but they’ll rebound quickly by midweek as drier air returns.

Looking ahead, Wednesday and Thursday should be quieter and a little warmer, with our next chance of unsettled weather arriving over the weekend.
