The First United Methodist Church will host sessions for caregivers every third Tuesday of the month at 4.00pm. These meeting are intended to provide support from other caregivers that are also on the journey of caring for a loved one. Topics discussed will include strategies for self-care, understanding and working with brain change and forms of dementia, dealing with the grief of change, and supporting your health and well-being.
Cortez Integrated Healthcare hosts a peer-led addiction recovery support group every Tuesday at 5:00 PM. Participants will learn practical recovery tools in a supportive, non-12-step environment.
The Pinon Project will offer a parenting class called "Six Bricks" every Tuesday from 5:30 to 8:00pm.
This new and updated program is centered around six research-proven steps that will help build a strong foundation for children's lives.

May 20 Wednesday
Four Corners Writers will host a workshop every third Wednesday at the Zu Gallery from 6:00 to 7:30pm.This is open to all writers regardless of genre or experience level and will allow attendees to learn more about the craft and business of writing.
May 21 Thursday
A new Toastmasters club is forming in Cortez in collaboration with the Montezuma Leadership Network. Meetings will be held at the Cortez Chamber of Commerce on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 5:30 to 6:30pm. All are welcome!
May 22 Friday
Hospice of Montezuma will facilitate a weekly meeting for men each Friday from 2:00 - 3:30pm.
This group is for men who might benefit from sharing things that have been weighing on their minds. Seeing things from a new perspective is often very helpful. Mental health matters!

The Disabled American Veterans Outreach Center offers rides for Veterans to medical appointments and is looking for volunteer drivers to join the team. Vehicles and gas are provided for these trips.

Volunteers are sought to help maintain our local mountain biking trails every Tuesday from 3:00 to 6:00pm.
