Good Sam’s Food Pantry in Cortez is open for visitors on Tuesdays and Fridays from 12 to 2 p.m. and again from 3 to 6 p.m., and on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12 to 2 p.m. only. The pantry is located in the big pink warehouse at 30 North Beech Street. Staff are usually on-site Monday through Friday for donations or office needs, but may be busy—so knock loud or call ahead.
The Pinon Project will host The Incredible Years Advanced Parenting Class every Tuesday from 1:00 - 3:00pm.This class is for parents and caregivers of children aged from 2 to 10 years. The First United Methodist Church will host sessions for caregivers every third Tuesday of the month at 4.00pm. These meeting are intended to provide support from other caregivers that are also on the journey of caring for a loved one. Topics discussed will include strategies for self-care, understanding and working with brain change and forms of dementia, dealing with the grief of change, and supporting your health and well-being.
The Montezuma-Cortez Boys Basketball team will play Escalante Middle School at home on Tuesday, November 18th at 5pm.
Cortez Integrated Healthcare hosts a peer-led addiction recovery support group every Tuesday at 5:00 PM. Participants will learn practical recovery tools in a supportive, non-12-step environment.
The Pinon Project will offer a parenting class called "Six Bricks" every Tuesday from 5:30 to 8:00pm.
This new and updated program is centered around six research-proven steps that will help build a strong foundation for children's lives.

On Tuesday, November 18th at 6:00pm, Zu Gallery in Cortez will host a needle felting workshop.
Under the expert supervision of Dante, attendees can create turkeys, fall leaves, or their own designs. All materials, tools, and instruction will be provided. No experience is necessary as all skill levels are welcome.
The Cortez City Council meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at City Hall on Roger Smith Ave. starting at 7pm.

Porchlight Health is seeking volunteers for its bi-monthly Victim Impact Panel—a program designed to educate individuals convicted of DUIs through firsthand stories. The panel features those personally affected by impaired driving, and Porchlight is currently looking to expand its roster of speakers.
