A new Toastmasters club is forming in Cortez in collaboration with the Montezuma Leadership Network. Meetings will be held at the Cortez Chamber of Commerce on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 5:30 to 6:30pm. All are welcome!
The Mancos Meditation Group meets on Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:00pm at the One Heart House for a quiet 20-minute sit followed by a reading and discussion. More information can be found on the Mancos Meditation Group page on Facebook or by emailing mancosmeditation@gmail.com.
ZU Gallery in Cortez will host an acoustic open mic night on the first Thursday of each month from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Yves Giraud will facilitate the open mic and provide all the necessary equipment.All musicians and performers, regardless of experience level, are welcome to come and share their talent. Montezuma Heritage Museum will host Native Scenes, Native Stories until Friday, October 24th.
Native Scenes, Native Stories features the work of two local Diné artists, Keith Smith and Ed Singer.

Cortez Retail Enhancement Association will sponsor First Fridays every month until October.These are a celebration of community and the arts, shopping and dining in Cortez and are held on the first Friday of each month.Further information is available detailing the events and locations by visiting @shopcortez on Facebook and Instagram.
Hospice of Montezuma will facilitate a weekly meeting for men each Friday from 2:00 - 3:30pm.
This group is for men who might benefit from sharing things that have been weighing on their minds. Seeing things from a new perspective is often very helpful. Mental health matters!

Cortez Farmers Market will occur at their new location on the corner of Empire and Mildred streets, every Saturday until October 25th. Local produce, crafts, food, and music will be available weekly from 8.30am.
Oct 05 Sunday
Four Corners Food Not Bombs will provide an opportunity for mutual aid at the pink warehouse at 30 N. Beech Street in Cortez on Sundays from noon to 1:30pm. Everyone is invited, but not required, to bring a vegetarian or vegan dish to share. Needed items include tents, sleeping bags, hygiene supplies, and socks.
Fenceline Cider will host and Open Mic event on the first Sunday of the Month from 4:00 to 7:00pm.

The Disabled American Veterans Outreach Center offers rides for Veterans to medical appointments and is looking for volunteer drivers to join the team. Vehicles and gas are provided for these trips.
