This class is perfect for anyone who’s brand-new to improv or returning to refresh their skills in a supportive, joy-filled environment.
Across four Monday evenings, participants will explore the core principles of improvisation through games, scene work, and collaborative play.

This workshop is designed to help you turn curiosity into confidence and get you ready for your very first 5-minute comedy set.
In a supportive, low-pressure environment, you’ll learn the fundamentals of joke writing, comedic timing, structuring a set, and building a stage presence that feels authentic to you.

In association with School Community Youth Collaborative, The Sunflower Theatre will host two special screenings of The Polar Express on Saturday, December 13th at 10:30am and 2:30pm.
Telling the story of a doubting young boy who takes a train ride to the North Pole, this film embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.

The "Stuff the Little Art Box" event will take place on Wednesday, December 10th from 6:00 to 7:30pm at ZU Gallery in Cortez.
During this event participants will receive painting supplies, a 6x6 canvas, and a drink token to create artwork for the community art gallery box outside ZU Gallery.
This event is hosted by The LOR Foundation and will feature live holiday music performed by Winds En Cinque, a woodwind quintet from the Four Corners Community Band.

The Mancos Valley Chorus will present, "A Patchwork Christmas", at The First United Methodist Church in Cortez on Wednesday, December 10th at 7:00pm.

ZU Gallery in Cortez will host live piano music by Mimi Genheimer on Thursday, December 11th from 5:00 to 7:00pm.
This event is sponsored by the Cortez Retail Enhancement Association.
The iNDIGO Room in Durango will host Safety Meeting for a "A Charlie Brown Christmas Jazz Trio Experience", on Thursday, December 11th at 7:00pm.
This evening promises to deliver a warm, nostalgic, swing-filled night as the trio play the beloved Vince Guaraldi album front to back.

The Zu Gallery in Cortez will play host to a Community Holiday Sing-Along on Friday, December 12th from 6:00pm.
Jake McIntosh on guitar and Helen West on piano will lead a holiday caroling session.

The Mancos Valley Chorus will present, "A Patchwork Christmas", at Mancos United Methodist Church on Friday, December 12th at 7:00pm.
The Lightbox at Stillwater Music in Durango will host a festive student concert. The Winter Wonderbands youth music showcase is on Saturday, December 13th from 12:00-6:30pm.
Featuring fourteen unique performances from youth bands ranging from ukulele, vocal, rock, beginner to advanced, this event will will also offer cider and a silent auction.
Tickets and advance booking are not necessary.
La La Bones will perform original bluegrass music at Dolores River Brewery on Saturday, December 13th from 7:00pm.
The Lightbox at Stillwater Music in Durango will host an evening of the ukulele on Tuesday, December 16th from 7:30pm.

The 33rd Listening Room takes place on Saturday, December 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at ZU Gallery in Cortez and will feature High Desert Strays.
This musical duo consists of singer-songwriter, Shane Queener and guitarist, Jessica Munn.
