Across four Monday evenings, participants will explore the core principles of improvisation through games, scene work, and collaborative play.

This workshop is designed to help you turn curiosity into confidence and get you ready for your very first 5-minute comedy set.
In a supportive, low-pressure environment, you’ll learn the fundamentals of joke writing, comedic timing, structuring a set, and building a stage presence that feels authentic to you.

In association with School Community Youth Collaborative, The Sunflower Theatre will host two special screenings of The Polar Express on Saturday, December 13th at 10:30am and 2:30pm.
Telling the story of a doubting young boy who takes a train ride to the North Pole, this film embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.

The Zu Gallery in Cortez will play host to a Community Holiday Sing-Along on Friday, December 12th from 6:00pm.
Jake McIntosh on guitar and Helen West on piano will lead a holiday caroling session.

The Mancos Valley Chorus will present, "A Patchwork Christmas", at Mancos United Methodist Church on Friday, December 12th at 7:00pm.
The Lightbox at Stillwater Music in Durango will host a festive student concert. The Winter Wonderbands youth music showcase is on Saturday, December 13th from 12:00-6:30pm.
Featuring fourteen unique performances from youth bands ranging from ukulele, vocal, rock, beginner to advanced, this event will will also offer cider and a silent auction.
Tickets and advance booking are not necessary.
La La Bones will perform original bluegrass music at Dolores River Brewery on Saturday, December 13th from 7:00pm.

Ethan J Perry and the Remedy Band will play Fenceline Cider on Friday, December 19th from 5:00pm.
They blend Americana indie and jazz into a sound they call Americana Indie Technicolor Jazz.

The 33rd Listening Room takes place on Saturday, December 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at ZU Gallery in Cortez and will feature High Desert Strays.
This musical duo consists of singer-songwriter, Shane Queener and guitarist, Jessica Munn.
The Sunflower Theatre will host LB Productions for a special evening of Christmas songs on Saturday, December 20th from 7:00pm.
This event is for all ages to enjoy with familiar carols, joyful melodies, and the kind of togetherness that makes this time of year shine. Festive treats like warm wassail and gingerbread will be shared to make the night even sweeter.

Durango Arts Center and The iAm Music Institute will host a New Year's Eve African Dance Party on Wednesday, December 31st from 8:00pm.
Featuring Zimbabwean percussionist, vocalist, and bandleader Blessing Bled Chimanga with soulful support from the Eli Emmitt Band, and late-night grooves by DJ Panacea, this event will allow revellers to dance their way into the New Year.
