Children aged from 5 to 10 are invited to attend the Good News After School Club on Thursdays from 3:45pm.

Situated at BUS across from Kemper Elementary School, the club will feature, Bible lessons, snacks and games and is hosted by local area churches.

On Thursday, April 16th at 5:30pm HomesFund will present a community information session open to all about home ownership at the City Chambers in Roger Smith Street, Cortez.

HomesFund provides education and mortgage assistance to help individuals and families achieve homeownership in Southwest Colorado.

On Thursday, April 16th at 6:00pm, The Cult Movie Federation of Mancos will screen "Repo Man", along with a short film called "Heavy Metal Parking Lot".

Repo Man is a 1984 cult classic that tells the story of young punk Otto and his search for a mysterious '64 Chevy Malibu loaded with a strange cargo. Concessions will be available.

Every second Thursday of the month, The Sunflower Theatre will host a Spoken Word Open Mic Night at 7:00pm.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own original poetry or prose to share with a warm and welcoming audience. Each reader will have 3 to 7 minutes to share their work.

Every third Friday at 10:00am Cortez Public Library will host Coffee and Crafts.

Seasoned crafters or those just beginning are invited to join and use the provided art supplies, unwind, relax and create.

On Friday, April 17th at 12:00pm, shaman and author, Don Jorge Luis Delgado from Lake Titicaca in Peru will be appearing at Bomdiggity Mystical Market in Mancos to promote his latest book, "Love, Service, Wisdom: The Ancient Inka Path to Inner Harmony".

Hospice of Montezuma is offering a weekly men’s discussion group on Fridays from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

A fundraiser for Grace's Kitchen will take place on Friday, April 17th from 4:00 to 6:00pm.

"Soups of Cortez" will see local restaurants and individuals offering their varied soups for sampling on behalf of Grace's Kitchen.

The next Cortez Community Bike Ride will take place on Friday, April 17th from 5:30pm at Montezuma Park in Cortez.

High Desert Devo in association with KSJD invite all to participate in this family friendly community bike ride around Cortez. This ride sticks to bike lanes and park paths and aims to provide a space for community members to connect, move their bodies, and build a positive bike culture in Cortez.

On Saturday, April 18th from 8:00am until 12:00 noon, Montezuma County Health Department and Southwest Health System will host a Health Fair at the Montezuma County Annex in North Chestnut Street, Cortez.

The event will feature wellness stations for mental, physical and emotional health and blood tests will also be offered.
