Cortez Farmers Market will occur at their new location on the corner of Empire and Mildred streets, every Saturday until October 25th. Local produce, crafts, food, and music will be available weekly from 8.30am.
An Indivisible Montezuma rally is planned for Friday, October 18th, on Main Street in Cortez. The gathering will focus on concerns about constitutional rights. Organizers describe the event as non-partisan and non-violent, and open to anyone interested in the discussion.
Stillwater Music & the Be Frank Foundation will host their 12th annual Frank N' Stein Fundraiser on Saturday, October 18th from noon to 6:00pm.
Featuring live music, student performances, games, costume contests, prizes, food, and libations, this block party is open to all.
All proceeds benefit Stillwater Music and Be Frank's scholarship programs for area families.
Battle Rock School will celebrate their 100th Anniversary with a fundraiser at Sutcliffe Vineyards on Saturday, October 18th from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Tickets can be purchased at Sutcliffe by calling 970-565-0825 or by emailing info@sutcliffewines.com.

Four Corners Food Not Bombs will provide an opportunity for mutual aid at the pink warehouse at 30 N. Beech Street in Cortez on Sundays from noon to 1:30pm. Everyone is invited, but not required, to bring a vegetarian or vegan dish to share. Needed items include tents, sleeping bags, hygiene supplies, and socks.
A silent auction and fundraiser will be held on Sunday, October 19th at West View RV Park, Dolores from 4:00pm.
Proceeds will help a victim of a recent dog attack, as well local animal shelters and clinics to help with the cost of vaccinations and neutering.

The City of Cortez will hold its annual Clean-Up Week October 20th through 23rd, on your regular trash pick-up day. Residents can leave out large piles of trash, branches, and yard clippings for collection. For details on what items are accepted, visit the city’s website at cortezco.gov.
The Disabled American Veterans Outreach Center offers rides for Veterans to medical appointments and is looking for volunteer drivers to join the team. Vehicles and gas are provided for these trips.

The 22nd Judicial District will host a day of learning at Montezuma Combined Court on Tuesday, October 21st between 8:30am and 5:00pm.
Classes will include subjects such as tenants rights, Colorado laws and protections, and estate wills and trusts. Attendees can seek advice from an attorney.
