The Montezuma-Cortez varsity football team has a home game vs. Pagosa Springs on Friday, October 24 at 7pm.

The Pinon Project will host their Annual Pumpkin Fest event on Saturday, October 25th from 8:00am to 3:00pm in Montezuma Park, Cortez.
This event will feature a fun run, a cake walk, a costume competition, and a carnival, as well as a trick-or-treat loop around central Cortez.

Cortez Farmers Market will occur at their new location on the corner of Empire and Mildred streets, every Saturday until October 25th. Local produce, crafts, food, and music will be available weekly from 8.30am.
Cyclists are invited to join KJSD and High Desert Devo for the third Cortez Community Ride on Saturday, October 25th, starting at 5:00pm in Montezuma Park, Cortez.
This family friendly event will conclude by 6:00pm so that attendees can make it to the "Best Day Ever" biking film documentary and panel discussion at The Sunflower Theatre. Costumes are strongly encouraged.
If you would like to attend, but don't have a bike please email ewhritner@highdesertdevo.org for a loaner bike.
The Sunflower Theatre will screen the documentary, "Best Day Ever" on Saturday, October 25th at 7:00pm.
The documentary follows adaptive mountain bikers Greg Durso and Allie Bianchi as they tackle the daily challenges of disability and find joy, connection, and belonging in Vermont’s mountain biking community.
Prior to the screening, cyclist are invited to join KSJD and The Sunflower Theatre for a community bike ride starting at 5:00pm in Montezuma Park.

Four Corners Food Not Bombs will provide an opportunity for mutual aid at the pink warehouse at 30 N. Beech Street in Cortez on Sundays from noon to 1:30pm. Everyone is invited, but not required, to bring a vegetarian or vegan dish to share. Needed items include tents, sleeping bags, hygiene supplies, and socks.

The Disabled American Veterans Outreach Center offers rides for Veterans to medical appointments and is looking for volunteer drivers to join the team. Vehicles and gas are provided for these trips.

Volunteers are sought to help maintain our local mountain biking trails every Tuesday from 3:00 to 6:00pm.

Montezuma-Cortez Middle School Boys Basketball will play at home versus Miller Middle School on Tuesday, October 28th. The gym opens at 4:30pm.
