The Over The Hill Gang Cortez Car Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the United Methodist Church, located at Empire and Park Streets. Meet and greet begins at 6pm, followed by the meeting at 7pm. Anyone with a love for cars is welcome! For details, call 970-560-1891.

The Friends of the Cortez Library are holding a book sale fundraiser at the library. Members get first pick and pizza on October 30th — and you can become a member that day. The sale opens to the public October 31st and November 1st from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Leave No Trace will be in town on Thursday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 8 p.m., and a community cleanup is planned to mark the visit. Participants can stop by the Colorado Welcome Center—where bags and gloves will be available—or use their own gear and clean up from home or work, with trash accepted at the Welcome Center dumpster.
Fenceline Cider will host bingo every Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00pm.
The Cortez Silent Book Club meets at ZU Gallery on Thursday, October 30th at 6 p.m. It’s a relaxed gathering where you can be as social—or as quiet—as you like while connecting with fellow readers, swapping books, and discovering new reads. Hospice of Montezuma will facilitate a weekly meeting for men each Friday from 2:00 - 3:30pm.
This group is for men who might benefit from sharing things that have been weighing on their minds. Seeing things from a new perspective is often very helpful. Mental health matters!

Four Corners Food Not Bombs will provide an opportunity for mutual aid at the pink warehouse at 30 N. Beech Street in Cortez on Sundays from noon to 1:30pm. Everyone is invited, but not required, to bring a vegetarian or vegan dish to share. Needed items include tents, sleeping bags, hygiene supplies, and socks.
