A fundraiser for Grace's Kitchen will take place on Friday, April 17th from 4:00 to 6:00pm.
"Soups of Cortez" will see local restaurants and individuals offering their varied soups for sampling on behalf of Grace's Kitchen.
On Friday, April 17th from 5:30pm, All Our Kin Language Collective will host a Celebrating Indigenous Language Reclamation event at Fort Lewis College, Durango.
The event will take place over the weekend and include short films by Indigenous youth from the Lensic Theatre, keynote speakers, and an open mic for reading Indigenous poetry.

On Saturday, April 18th from 9:00am the K-9 Search and Rescue Team in Dolores will host a Wilderness Hazards Classroom Training event.
This training will feature different presenters and will focus on subjects such as hazardous weather, poisonous plants, man-made hazards and dangerous wildlife encounters.

The Odd Cat Bookstore in Dolores will host a late morning discussion group every third Saturday at 10.30am.
This will have no agenda, no particular topic and zero politics and will just be humans engaging in conversation. Coffee and tea will be available but attendees are welcome to bring their own refreshments.
On Saturday, April 18th between 1:00 and 3:00pm, Montezuma Orchard Restoration Project will hold an apple grafting workshop at the Orchard Hub in Dolores.

On Saturday, April 18th at 1:00pm Cortez Makerspace are offering a workshop where attendees can create a custom mug for Mother's Day.
This workshop is open to kids, adults and families. Spaces are limited so registration is required by contacting makerspace@fundamentalneeds.net
On Saturday, April 18th from 3:00pm Mancos Early Learning Center will host an art fundraiser at Mancos Opera House.
The event will feature forty local artists who have created pieces inspired by Montezuma Early Learning Center's own students. There will also be the Sweetwater Gypsies food truck, an auction and music by Midnight Cowboys.
On Saturday, April 18th at 5:00pm, Mancos Brewing Company will host a gig by Wisconsin rock duo, JellyBowl.
JellyBowl play upbeat originals and covers that feature rich vocals, harmonica, acoustic and electric guitar.
To celebrate 25 years of local band, The Lawn Chair Kings, The American Legion in Durango will host a gig by the band on Saturday, April 18th at 7:30pm.
On Saturday, April 18th at 8:00pm, The iNDIGO Room in Durango will host a gig by Sage and Aera.
This indie folk duo blends the songwriting of Sage Cook with the soulful voice and upright bass of Aera Fox.
