Tashi T’s music spans the genres of indie folk, Americana and country. This will be a very special one-time appearance with other local musicians joining Tashi to build a super band on the evening!

The Sunflower Theatre will be the venue for a poetry workshop with Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer on Saturday, September 13th from 10:00am until 2:30pm.
Along with Rosemerry, participants will read poems, explore metaphors and paradox, and use these as tools for their own writing.
Some scholarships are available.

Cortez Public Library will host an event featuring Chris Hinton on Monday, August 18th at 5:00pm.
Chris, a viral social media influencer, will present his latest book, "Who's Talking."
With over 215,000 followers on TikTok, Chris has shared valuable insights into emotional intelligence and he also serves as a coach, speaker, and educator in this field.
All proceeds from the sale of his book will be donated to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

The Pinon Project will host The Incredible Years Advanced Parenting Class every Tuesday from 1:00 - 3:00pm.This class is for parents and caregivers of children aged from 2 to 10 years. The First United Methodist Church will host sessions for caregivers every third Tuesday of the month at 4.00pm. These meeting are intended to provide support from other caregivers that are also on the journey of caring for a loved one. Topics discussed will include strategies for self-care, understanding and working with brain change and forms of dementia, dealing with the grief of change, and supporting your health and well-being.
Cortez Integrated Healthcare hosts a peer-led addiction recovery support group every Tuesday at 5:00 PM. Participants will learn practical recovery tools in a supportive, non-12-step environment.

Four Corners Writers will host a workshop every third Wednesday at the Zu Gallery from 6:00 to 7:30pm.This is open to all writers regardless of genre or experience level and will allow attendees to learn more about the craft and business of writing.
Cortez Cultural Center will host Susanne Bryant of Los Miramontes Lavender Farm on Wednesday, August 20th at 6:00pm.
Susanne will share how to plant a tea garden and forage for edible flowers.
