On Saturday, April 18th from 7:00pm The Sunflower Theatre will open its doors for a very special and exclusive evening.
The 2nd Annual Sunflower Theatre Gala Fundraiser will see audience members treated to exquisitely crafted small bites by Chef Kourtney Morgan, each thoughtfully paired with live performances showcasing the bold, brilliant talent of Southwest Colorado.
This unique experience is limited to only 70 seats and will include a cocktail or mocktail.

On Friday, April 3rd The Sunflower Theatre will host a gig by Carute (kah-root-say) Roma Gypsy Band beginning at 7:00pm.
Featuring fiddles, accordion, trumpets, and irresistible grooves, this high-energy ensemble blends Eastern European folk traditions with spirited original tunes.

The Sunflower Theatre will once again play host to line dancing classes with Hattie Miller throughout April.
Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:00pm and budding dancers will be learn to line dance to a variety of musical genres - from country to R&B pop and everything in between. No experience is necessary and some scholarships will be available for these classes.

The Montezuma Heritage Museum is hosting a traveling exhibition on Ute Knowledge through April.
The exhibit highlights how the Ute have used, and continue to use, science, technology, engineering, and math to live in the Rocky Mountains, with hands-on activities for visitors.

The Cortez Public Library is hosting a dinosaur egg hunt through Wednesday, April 8th during regular library hours.
Participants who find all the eggs will earn a dinosaur of their own.
The Turquoise Art Gallery in Cortez will host an exhibition of paintings by artist Bobbe Jones throughout April. Many of the pieces will focus on the theme of birds.

The Montezuma Civic Hub is hosting a new series called Finding Common Ground: Skills for Working Across Differences at the Cortez Public Library. The series runs monthly from April through December, covering topics like listening, bridging divides, and engaging across differences. Sessions take place from noon to 1 pm and include lunch.
Children aged from 5 to 10 are invited to attend the Good News After School Club on Thursdays from 3:45pm.
Situated at BUS across from Kemper Elementary School, the club will feature, Bible lessons, snacks and games and is hosted by local area churches.

On Thursday, April 2nd, The Sunflower Theatre will host a line dance refresher class with Hattie Miller.
Kicking off at 6:30pm, the class will provide a chance for dancers to dust off the cobwebs, learn some new moves and groove out to some classic 70s and 80s tracks.
