Cortez Recreation Center will be hosting an Adult Co-Ed Sand Volleyball League on Wednesdays beginning June 17th.
All skill levels are welcome. The silver league is for casual, recreational players while the gold league is more competitive.

On Thursday, April 30th at 5:30pm, Mancos Brewing Company will play host to a gig with Viola and The Brakemen.
Hailing from Flagstaff, Viola and The Brakemen blend funky country folk rock and shoe gaze storytelling.
On Thursday, April 30th at 6:00pm, Dolores Public Library will host West Slope poets and Word Sharks, Art Goodtimes, Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer, and David Feela for a feeding frenzy - but only literarily, not literally.
Every second Thursday of the month, The Sunflower Theatre will host a Spoken Word Open Mic Night at 7:00pm.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own original poetry or prose to share with a warm and welcoming audience. Each reader will have 3 to 7 minutes to share their work.

On Friday, May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd Montezuma Heritage Museum will host Heritage Days.
This two-day event will celebrate the rich history, culture, and community of Cortez, Montezuma County, and the surrounding region. It will feature iconic local exhibitors, hands-on demonstrations and activities, live music, guided tours, and engaging educational programs.

On Friday, May 1st at 1:00pm, The City of Cortez Historic Preservation Board invite the public to join them on a stroll along Main Street to discover the stories and landmarks that have shaped the community.
Attendees are reminded to wear comfortable shoes for this guided walking tour during the organization's Heritage Days event. A guide will share stories of the people, businesses, and events that shaped Cortez’s past.
Hospice of Montezuma is offering a weekly men’s discussion group on Fridays from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
