On Saturday, April 18th from 7:00pm The Sunflower Theatre will open its doors for a very special and exclusive evening.
The 2nd Annual Sunflower Theatre Gala Fundraiser will see audience members treated to exquisitely crafted small bites by Chef Kourtney Morgan, each thoughtfully paired with live performances showcasing the bold, brilliant talent of Southwest Colorado.
This unique experience is limited to only 70 seats and will include a cocktail or mocktail.

The Sunflower Theatre will once again play host to line dancing classes with Hattie Miller throughout April.
Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:00pm and budding dancers will be learn to line dance to a variety of musical genres - from country to R&B pop and everything in between. No experience is necessary and some scholarships will be available for these classes.

From seasoned dancers to total beginners, all are welcome to attend The Sunflower Theatre on Saturday, April 4th for a line dance party.
Beginning at 7:00pm and hosted by Hattie Miller, attendees are encouraged to bring their best moves and groove out to some classic 70s and 80s tracks.
The Cortez Public Library is hosting a dinosaur egg hunt through Wednesday, April 8th during regular library hours.
Participants who find all the eggs will earn a dinosaur of their own.
On Saturday, April 4th from 5:00pm The Turquoise Raven Art Gallery in Cortez will host a reception to mark the beginning of the exhibition by artist, Bobbe Jones whose work will will be on display there for the month of April.
Attendees can meet the artist and find out about her work as well as enjoy refreshments.

Four Corners Food Not Bombs is a mutual aid group where neighbors help neighbors, and everyone is welcome. They meet Sundays from noon to 1:30 at the Good Sam’s Warehouse in Cortez for a hot, homemade vegan and vegetarian potluck, plus an exchange of books and clothes. Come give what you can, and take what you need.
Every Sunday afternoon from 3:00pm, The Odd Cat Bookstore in Dolores will host a writing group.
This casual event will typically feature a writing prompt followed by twenty minutes of writing and then a sharing session. Some afternoons will feature a local writer.

The Disabled American Veterans Outreach Center offers rides for Veterans to medical appointments and is looking for volunteer drivers to join the team. Vehicles and gas are provided for these trips.

On Mondays from April 6th to May 4th, The Sunflower Theatre will continue to advance budding improv artists with Improv 301 classes.
Beginning at 7:00pm, these classes are intended for those who have already attended the Improv 201 class.
