On Saturday, April 11th from 10:00am Mancos Conservation District are hosting their annual meeting featuring guest speaker, Steve Wolff, General Manager of the Southwestern Water Conservation District.
Steve, will give updates about the Colorado River negotiations and how our area may be impacted by different decisions.
On Saturday, April 11th at 1:00pm Cortez Makerspace will host an Introduction to Lightburn and Laser Engraving.
Attendees will learn the basic of setting up designs, working with different materials, and safely operating the laser.

On Saturday, April 11th at 2:00pm, Montezuma Heritage Museum in Cortez will host Bill Harris for a presentation called "Traipsing Across the Colorado Plateau, Misadventures with Fred Blackburn".
Bill Harris and Fred Blackburn have spent more than four decades exploring the Colorado Plateau together. In this event, they will share stories from the field.
On Saturday, April 11th WildEdge Brewing Collective will celebrate its 9th Anniversary.
The doors will open at 3:00 pm with food specials, and a special anniversary beer release. Local band, State 38 will take to the the stage at 6:00pm for a musical celebration.
The Cortez Recreation Center, in partnership with TeamUp, hosts "Teen Hangout Nights" every second and fourth Saturday from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.
Teens can drop-in and enjoy an open gym, structured games, rock climbing, karaoke and more. Snacks and drinks will be available.

Four Corners Food Not Bombs is a mutual aid group where neighbors help neighbors, and everyone is welcome. They meet Sundays from noon to 1:30 at the Good Sam’s Warehouse in Cortez for a hot, homemade vegan and vegetarian potluck, plus an exchange of books and clothes. Come give what you can, and take what you need.
Every Sunday afternoon from 3:00pm, The Odd Cat Bookstore in Dolores will host a writing group.
This casual event will typically feature a writing prompt followed by twenty minutes of writing and then a sharing session. Some afternoons will feature a local writer.

The Disabled American Veterans Outreach Center offers rides for Veterans to medical appointments and is looking for volunteer drivers to join the team. Vehicles and gas are provided for these trips.

On Mondays from April 6th to May 4th, The Sunflower Theatre will continue to advance budding improv artists with Improv 301 classes.
Beginning at 7:00pm, these classes are intended for those who have already attended the Improv 201 class.

On Tuesday, April 14th between 9:00am and noon, The Bureau of Land Management will host a guided plant walk at Sand Canyon near Cortez.
Led by Marian Rohman, author of "Plants of Canyons of the Ancients National Monument", participants will observe native plants in the field while learning identification techniques, seasonal patterns, and ecological relationships.
