CSU Extension Montezuma County will host an Insect walk and Talk with entomologist Mel Schreiner on Tuesday, June 2nd at 11:30am at Southwest Seed Farm near Pleasant View.
Mel will help participants identify insects and lead discussions on the important role they play in our environment and agriculture.

Cortez Integrated Healthcare hosts a peer-led addiction recovery support group every Tuesday at 5:00 PM. Participants will learn practical recovery tools in a supportive, non-12-step environment.
On Tuesday, June 2nd at 6:00pm, Mancos Public Library will play host to a Poetry Workshop titled, " A Place We Call Home".
In this poetry workshop, participants will explore poems from Four Corners Poets Laureate, Jake Skeets, Laura Tohe, Cristoso Apache and Tommy Archuleta, before writing their own poems to celebrate the places we call home.
No writing experience is necessary and this workshop is for ages 13 and above.

On Wednesday, June 3rd from 11:00am, The Mancos Conservation District is hosting two back-to-back workshops for interested community members at Fozzie's Farm in Lewis.
Participants can learn about noxious weed and pest identification and then learn about management practices. Lunch from Mona Makes is included for registered participants.
Health Without Barriers is a 6-week family wellness program for families with teens ages 11-19. The whole family is invited to participate, with siblings of all ages welcome.
Classes will begin at Montezuma-Cortez Middle School from Wednesday June 3rd at 5:30pm.

The Montezuma Civic Hub is hosting a new series called Finding Common Ground: Skills for Working Across Differences at the Cortez Public Library. The series runs monthly through December, covering topics like listening, bridging divides, and engaging across differences. Sessions take place from noon to 1 pm and include lunch.

On Saturday, June 6th between 3:00 and 5:00pm, The Sunflower Theatre will host a Poetry Workshop titled "A Place We Call Home".
Drawing on the work of Indigenous poets and other writers, Inaugural Poet Laureate of Durango, Esther Belin, will assist participants to generate their own poems celebrating the places that shape and sustain us.

Every Sunday afternoon starting at 3:00pm, The Odd Cat Bookstore in Dolores will host a writing group.
This casual event will typically feature a writing prompt followed by twenty minutes of writing and then a sharing session. Some afternoons will feature a local writer.
