On Tuesday, April 14th between 9:00am and noon, The Bureau of Land Management will host a guided plant walk at Sand Canyon near Cortez.
Led by Marian Rohman, author of "Plants of Canyons of the Ancients National Monument", participants will observe native plants in the field while learning identification techniques, seasonal patterns, and ecological relationships.

Cortez Integrated Healthcare hosts a peer-led addiction recovery support group every Tuesday at 5:00 PM. Participants will learn practical recovery tools in a supportive, non-12-step environment.

On Wednesday, April 15 at 4:00pm, Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center and Museum will host a presentation by Aaron Watson on International Dark Sky Park Certification.
Attendees will learn what it takes for Canyons of the Ancients National Monument to earn International Dark Sky Park certification.
Four Corners Writers will host a workshop every third Wednesday at the Zu Gallery from 6:00 to 7:30pm.This is open to all writers regardless of genre or experience level and will allow attendees to learn more about the craft and business of writing.

Cortez Public Library will host a session on every third Thursday at 3:00pm entitled "Life Affirming Discussions". This will enable attendees to explore positivity and self-care through affirmations, mindful eating, healthy tips, and related topics.

Pueblo Community College will be running a Construction Class on Fridays and Wednesdays from 3:00 to 5:00pm at The Makerspace in Cortez.
These classes will run until May 9th.

On Friday, April 17th from 5:30pm, All Our Kin Language Collective will host a Celebrating Indigenous Language Reclamation event at Fort Lewis College, Durango.
The event will take place over the weekend and include short films by Indigenous youth from the Lensic Theatre, keynote speakers, and an open mic for reading Indigenous poetry.

On Saturday, April 18th from 9:00am the K-9 Search and Rescue Team in Dolores will host a Wilderness Hazards Classroom Training event.
This training will feature different presenters and will focus on subjects such as hazardous weather, poisonous plants, man-made hazards and dangerous wildlife encounters.
