A new Toastmasters club is forming in Cortez in collaboration with the Montezuma Leadership Network. Meetings will be held at the Cortez Chamber of Commerce on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 5:30 to 6:30pm. All are welcome!
The Mancos Meditation Group meets on Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:00pm at the One Heart House for a quiet 20-minute sit followed by a reading and discussion. More information can be found on the Mancos Meditation Group page on Facebook or by emailing mancosmeditation@gmail.com.

Montezuma Heritage Museum will host Native Scenes, Native Stories until Friday, October 24th.
Native Scenes, Native Stories features the work of two local Diné artists, Keith Smith and Ed Singer.

The Turquoise Raven Art Gallery in Cortez will feature work by local artist, Michele Farrier, during the month of September.
Michele, a plein air artist, captures our regional landscapes in oils. The exhibit is viewable during gallery hours.
As part of their teen movie series, Cortez Public Library will screen, "Turtles All The Way Down", on Friday, September 12th at 1:30pm.
Snacks will be available.
Hospice of Montezuma will facilitate a weekly meeting for men each Friday from 2:00 - 3:30pm.
This group is for men who might benefit from sharing things that have been weighing on their minds. Seeing things from a new perspective is often very helpful. Mental health matters!

Team Up will host a Pickleball Day and Silent Auction at the Cortez Pickleball Courts on Friday, September 12th from 5:00 to 8:00pm.
This beginner-focused event will feature a learn-to-play clinic, round robin matches, a silent auction, and a kid's zone.
All proceeds will support Team Up's work with with youth and families in Montezuma and Dolores Counties.

Zu Gallery will host, "Amplified - A Southwest Colorado Women in Music Showcase", on Friday, September 12th and Saturday, September 13th at 6:30pm.
Created by musician, Amanda Mullen, the event celebrates the diverse voices and artistry of Southwest Colorado’s musical women with fourteen local performers.

San Juan College in Farmington will present Ballets with a Twist performing "Cocktail Hour" on Friday, September 12th at 7:00pm.
