Downtown Cortez will play host a variety of local musicians on
Saturday, August 30th from 10:00am to 9:00pm as part of Play Music on the Porch Day.

Ten Main Street locations including Zu Gallery will become the venues for this live eleven hour event.

Four Corners Food Not Bombs will provide an opportunity for mutual aid at the pink warehouse at 30 N. Beech Street in Cortez on Sundays from noon to 1:30pm. Everyone is invited, but not required, to bring a vegetarian or vegan dish to share. Needed items include tents, sleeping bags, hygiene supplies, and socks.

The Disabled American Veterans Outreach Center offers rides for Veterans to medical appointments and is looking for volunteer drivers to join the team. Vehicles and gas are provided for these trips.

The Good Food Collective in Durango offers a variety of resources to help residents with fruit trees.

Southwest Open School is accepting applications for the 2025 to 2026 school year.
Southwest Open School offers individualized career pathways, hands on learning, and small classroom settings.

The Pinon Project will host, "Circle of Mothers", every Monday from 5:30 to 7:30pm. These meetings will allow mothers to connect and support each other.

Stretch and Strength is an exercise class is for people with Parkinson's Disease and their care givers. It is held weekly on a Tuesday at 11 am at The Heart and Core Yoga Studio at 720 East Main Street, Cortez.
