The San Juan Basin Archaeological Society invites the public to a presentation in the Lyceum at the Center of Southwest Studies on Wednesday, April 8th at 7:00 pm.
Dr. Angela Huster, a Senior Archaeologist at Chronicle Heritage, will present a discussion on the Hohokam Culture of Southern Arizona titled “Cotton, Intra-regional Specialization, and the Hohokam Northern Periphery“.

On Thursday, April 9th at 5:00pm, The City of Cortez will invite the public to attend an open house to learn about the upcoming cleanup and redevelopment efforts at the Cortez Municipal Airport.
At this open house at the Cortez City Council Chambers, community members will have the opportunity to learn about planned cleanup activities, ask questions, and share input with project representatives.

The movie follows five teenagers from different high school cliques who serve a Saturday detention under the supervision of their authoritarian vice principal.
Every second Thursday of the month, The Sunflower Theatre will host a Spoken Word Open Mic Night at 7:00pm.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own original poetry or prose to share with a warm and welcoming audience. Each reader will have 3 to 7 minutes to share their work.

On Friday, April 10th at 9:00am Marian Rohman, an experienced guide and volunteer with Canyon of the Ancients National Monument, will lead a walk exploring native plants in the Lower Sand Canyon area.
