The Sunflower Theatre presents "The Boy and the Heron" on Thursday, May 16th, at 7:00pm. An animated adventure film by from the legendary Studio Ghibli (GIB-lee or JIB-lee), creators of Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, and My Neighbor Totoro (TOH-toh-roh), it features the story of Mahito (MAH-hee-toh) and a series of mysterious events that lead him to a secluded and ancient tower, home to a mischievous gray heron. The League of Women Voters, Mancos Public Library, Cortez Library, and Dolores Library have collaborated with three professors from Fort Lewis College for a presentation on Mis- and Disinformation on Thursday, May 23rd from 5:30 to 7pm at the Sunflower Theatre.

Turquoise Raven Art Gallery will have an exhibit of Blue Birds starting through May 30th. Expect many mediums depicting Blue Birds, including Paintings, Textile Art, Collage, Pastels and more from regional artists.

Cortez Integrated Healthcare will host a peer-led addiction recovery support group on Tuesdays at 5pm. Participants will learn tools for recovery. This is not a 12-step program
The Dolores Bike Hostel will host a weekly running club on Tuesday evenings. Runners can choose to run 10 kilometers, starting at 5:30pm, or 5 kilometers, starting at 6pm. All ages and abilities are welcome. Runs will be followed by a group stretch.
