This event will provide a joyful evening of vocal performances as both local talents, and international singer and vocal coach Anita Burleson, take to the Sunflower stage. The evening will also feature special guests, MJ Smith and Michael Canzona.

The Sunflower Theatre presents a Stand-Up Comedy Open Mic Night on Thursday, October 16th. Sign-ups begin at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. Local comedian Laura Ripple will emcee the evening, inviting performers and comedy fans alike to enjoy a night of laughter and community fun at the Sunflower Theatre.

Hospice of Montezuma will facilitate a weekly meeting for men each Friday from 2:00 - 3:30pm.
This group is for men who might benefit from sharing things that have been weighing on their minds. Seeing things from a new perspective is often very helpful. Mental health matters!

Four Corners Food Not Bombs will provide an opportunity for mutual aid at the pink warehouse at 30 N. Beech Street in Cortez on Sundays from noon to 1:30pm. Everyone is invited, but not required, to bring a vegetarian or vegan dish to share. Needed items include tents, sleeping bags, hygiene supplies, and socks.
The Cortez Adventist Christian School will hold their Annual Fall Festival Fundraiser on Sunday, October 12th from 2:00 to 4:00pm.
The day will feature food, games, crafts, and more.

The Colorado Educator's Association and Kemper PTO are collaborating to host a School Board Candidate Forum on Monday, October 13th from 6:00 to 7:00pm at the Cortez Chamber of Commerce.
Candidates will respond to questions from the audience.
