A new Toastmasters club is forming in Cortez in collaboration with the Montezuma Leadership Network. Meetings will be held at the Cortez Chamber of Commerce on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 5:30 to 6:30pm. All are welcome!

Join KSJD for coffee and conversation at Kelly’s Kitchen in Dolores on Friday, August 29th, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Staff members and DJs will be there to say hello, answer questions, and chat about community radio.
Hospice of Montezuma will facilitate a weekly meeting for men each Friday from 2:00 - 3:30pm.
This group is for men who might benefit from sharing things that have been weighing on their minds. Seeing things from a new perspective is often very helpful. Mental health matters!

On Friday, August 29th at 6:45pm community members can meet High Desert Devo and KSJD staff and volunteers for a community group ride around Cortez.
The group will finish the ride at The Sunflower Theatre around 7:45pm where folks can enjoy a beverage at the bar, learn about bike etiquette for utilizing the city's bike lanes, and explore opportunities to support the growth of safe and enjoyable bike culture in Cortez.

Cortez Farmers Market will occur at their new location on the corner of Empire and Mildred streets, every Saturday until October 25th. Local produce, crafts, food, and music will be available weekly from 8.30am.
