Children aged from 5 to 10 are invited to attend the Good News After School Club on Thursdays from 3:45pm.
Situated at BUS across from Kemper Elementary School, the club will feature, Bible lessons, snacks and games and is hosted by local area churches.

On Thursday, April 9th at 5:00pm, The City of Cortez will invite the public to attend an open house to learn about the upcoming cleanup and redevelopment efforts at the Cortez Municipal Airport.
At this open house at the Cortez City Council Chambers, community members will have the opportunity to learn about planned cleanup activities, ask questions, and share input with project representatives.

As part of their movie night series, Cortez Public Library will screen eighties classic, The Breakfast Club, on Thursday, April 9th at 5:15pm
The movie follows five teenagers from different high school cliques who serve a Saturday detention under the supervision of their authoritarian vice principal.
Every second Thursday of the month, The Sunflower Theatre will host a Spoken Word Open Mic Night at 7:00pm.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own original poetry or prose to share with a warm and welcoming audience. Each reader will have 3 to 7 minutes to share their work.

On Friday, April 10th at 9:00am Marian Rohman, an experienced guide and volunteer with Canyon of the Ancients National Monument, will lead a walk exploring native plants in the Lower Sand Canyon area.

On Friday, April 10th at 11:00am Cortez Public Library is hosting a Mesa Verde Park Ranger.
Using illustrated images and an interactive story time, the ranger will tell kids traditional stories from the Puebloan people.
Hospice of Montezuma is offering a weekly men’s discussion group on Fridays from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

As part of their Teen Gaming Series, Cortez Public Library will host Teen Gaming Hour on Friday, April 10th at 2:00pm.
The event will feature Nintendo Switch games, snacks, and friendly competition.

Pueblo Community College will be running a Construction Class on Fridays and Wednesdays from 3:00 to 5:00pm at The Makerspace in Cortez.
These classes will run until May 9th.
